
It is almost impossible to live without stress. Stress is an unavoidable repercussion of life. “Without stress, there would be no life”. It gives life some spice and excitement. Who does not agree?
Stress is not necessarily as harmful as we think it is. An out-of town family gathering is just as stressful as meeting the work’s deadline. Although both could provoke stress, each may trigger different reaction from individuals.
Each one of us has different levels of ability when it comes to coping with stress. We all have unique requirements and capabilities. We could not consider an optimum level or degree of stress for all people. What brings stress to one may bring joy to another. Even when we agree that a particular event may cause stress, we would likely differ in our responses to it.
The first and most important step in dealing with stress is to acknowledge and accept the cause of stress. The most common cause of stress is our emotional reaction to a situation or event in our life and not the situation itself. Oftentimes, we cannot do anything about the situation. However, we can do something with our reaction to the situation.
When we feel we have gone beyond our favorable stress level, it is important to unwind and reduce the stress. We should not wait for stress to pile up and be sorry in the end. Some massage therapy establishments are giving out their
